Super Eagles and KRC Genk striker, Toluwase Arokodare, who has scored 22 goals for the club this season, is desperate to win the Jupiler Pro League despite his team’s recent dip in form.
The 24-year-old has been an exceptional goal-scoring machine this season, netting 22 goals and providing five assists in 41 matches across all competitions, which has drawn attention from top clubs like Bayern Munich.
However, Genk has struggled in their pursuit of the league title, winning only one of their last five games. They currently sit third in the league, three points behind leaders Union St.
Gilloise. Arokodare has reached new heights this season, recording a personal best for goals in a single campaign and making his debut for the Super Eagles. Still, the former FC Köln striker acknowledges that winning the league title would make all his personal accomplishments meaningful by the end of the season.
“It feels great, honestly. I try not to overthink it — my main focus is on winning the title. Scoring 20 goals is fantastic, but the ultimate goal is to win the top prize with this club,” Arokodare said in remarks revealed by Sports Boom.

“I just try to stay focused and keep a clear head amidst the media noise. The future is uncertain, but like many players, it’s a dream of mine to one day play in the Premier League,” Arokodare concluded.

With four games remaining in the Belgian Pro League, Genk still has the chance to lift the league title, provided they win all their remaining matches.
Next up for Arokodare and his team is an away match against league leaders, Union St. Gilloise, at the Stade Joseph Mariën next Saturday.
