Super Eagles defender Benjamin Tanimu has completed a return to Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars, signing a two-year contract as the club continues preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The transfer marks a return to familiar surroundings for the 23-year-old centre back, who previously featured for Singida after joining the club from Nigeria Premier Football League side Bendel Insurance in February 2024.
Tanimu’s impressive performances in Tanzania earned him a move to English League One side Crawley Town in September 2024, where he signed a two-year contract before completing another transfer to Moroccan club Maghreb Fès in July 2025.

After a year in North Africa, the Nigerian defender has opted to return to Singida Black Stars for a second spell, with the Tanzanian club securing his services for an undisclosed fee.
The former Bendel Insurance defender is expected to join his teammates at the club’s pre-season training camp in Rwanda as preparations intensify ahead of the new campaign.
Tanimu has also established himself on the international stage, earning three senior caps for the Super Eagles since making his debut for Nigeria.
