Abdulkerim Durmaz rubbish Victor Osimhen’s Fenerbahçe rumours

Victor Osimhen is in talks with Al-Hilal over a €70m move from Napoli, as the Saudi club eyes the striker before the Club World Cup.

Retired Turkey international defender and Beyaz TV commentator Abdulkerim Durmaz has cleared the air on reports linking Napoli striker Victor Osimhen’s move to Fenerbahçe in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been nothing short of sensational this season, netting 33 goals and providing eight assists in just 38 appearances.

His explosive form has not only propelled Galatasaray to the cusp of a domestic double but has also reignited interest from top European clubs.

Yet, amidst the buzz, a new narrative has emerged—one linking Osimhen with a shock move to Fenerbahçe. Reports suggest that the Yellow Canaries have opened talks with the Napoli loanee and are even prepared to trigger his €75 million release clause.

If true, this would mark a seismic shift in the Turkish Super Lig, pitting Osimhen against his current club in one of football’s fiercest rivalries.

However, not everyone is convinced. Abdulkerim Durmaz, a former Turkey international and current Beyaz TV analyst, has vehemently dismissed these rumors. “Fenerbahçe has absolutely no interest in Victor Osimhen,” Durmaz stated firmly. “Even their manager, Mirsad Türkcan, has denied these claims.

As the transfer window nears, we’ll hear countless false stories—I wouldn’t even believe my late father at this point. Until a deal is officially signed, it’s all just noise.”

Durmaz’s skepticism is understandable. Osimhen’s future remains clouded in uncertainty, with multiple factors at play.

Despite Galatasaray’s desire to keep him, his loan deal expires in June 2025, meaning a return to Napoli is likely before any permanent transfer materializes.

Moreover, his hefty wage demands—reportedly around £10 million per season—could deter even the wealthiest suitors.

Premier League clubs, particularly Chelsea, have long admired Osimhen, but financial constraints may complicate any potential deal.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray fans cling to hope, dreaming of another season with their talismanic forward leading the line.
