Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has agreed personal terms with AC Milan, with Bayer Leverkusen now in advanced talks over a deal for the forward.
The 24-year-old was instrumental in Leverkusen’s remarkable 2023/24 campaign, when the club won a historic Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double without losing a single match.
Boniface finished as the team’s top league scorer with 14 goals and struck 21 times in all competitions, earning the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award.

Last season (2024/25), Boniface’s minutes were reduced after Patrik Schick reclaimed the starting role. Despite fewer starts, the Nigerian still recorded 8 goals and 1 assist in 19 league appearances, maintaining an impressive strike rate of a goal contribution every other game.

Sky Sport Germany suggests the structure under discussion is an initial loan with a €30m option to buy, though a permanent move remains possible.
Milan, under new sporting director Igli Tare, have been prioritising striker reinforcements, with Boniface emerging as their leading candidate over alternatives like Rasmus Højlund and Dušan Vlahović.

If completed, the deal would see Boniface follow in the footsteps of fellow Super teammate Samuel Chukwueze who is still at the club as well as Taribo West and Nnamdi Oduamadi in wearing the famous red and black shirt at San Siro.
