Adams and Ejuke combine as Sevilla thrash Barcelona in Seville

Nigerian Internationals Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke combined to tear through Barcelona as Sevilla cruised to a 4–1 win at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán their first league victory over the Catalans in a decade.

Adams came off the bench on the hour mark and struck late, finishing coolly after being set up by fellow Nigerian Ejuke, who had just entered the game in stoppage time.

Alexis Sánchez opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Ronald Araújo’s foul on Isaac Romero, before Romero himself doubled Sevilla’s lead.

Marcus Rashford briefly gave Barça hope, but José Ángel Carmona’s thunderous effort and Adams’ stoppage-time finish sealed a famous win.
