Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets began their WAFU-B U17 Championship campaign in style with a 4-1 win over Benin Republic in Yamoussoukro.
Striker George Agha stole the show with a hat-trick, while David Edeh added a superb free-kick as the five-time world champions made a flying start on Wednesday.
Agha opened the scoring from the spot inside three minutes after Boluwatife Thompson was fouled in the box.
Two minutes later, Edeh doubled the lead with a fine strike from a free-kick before Agha struck again in the 14th minute.
