Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have confirmed the signing of Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade on a free transfer, bringing the Super Falcons forward to the French capital on a deal until June 2027.
The 25-year-old joins after leaving Atletico Madrid, where she spent close to five years, winning the Copa de la Reina and the Supercopa de España.
Ajibade’s move makes her the sixth Nigerian to represent PSG, following in the footsteps of Jay-Jay Okocha, Godwin Okpara, Bartholomew Ogbeche, Nicole Payne and her new teammate Jennifer Echegini.
Ajibade began her career at Robo Queens in Lagos, where her goals helped the club avoid relegation in 2017, earning her Player of the Season honours.
A year later, she secured a move to Norway with Avaldsnes, scoring 12 goals in 39 games before switching to Spain in 2020.
At Atletico Madrid, her versatility across the forward line, energy, and knack for crucial goals established her as one of the standout African players in Europe.

On the international stage, Ajibade has 20 goals in 38 senior appearances for Nigeria. She first captained her country at U-17 level and went on to win the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2018.
