Nigeria international Rasheedat Ajibade is set to leave Atlético Madrid at the end of June and will delay deciding on her next club until after the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The 25-year-old forward played her final match for the Spanish Liga F side in a recent fixture against champions Barcelona, bringing an end to a four-year spell in the Spanish capital.
Ajibade, who captains the Super Falcons, has received interest from clubs abroad, including a reported offer from a team in the American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
However, she is understood to be prioritising her national team duties before committing to a new club.
