Super Eagles striker Akor Adams continued his outstanding post-AFCON form as Sevilla came from behind to defeat Athletic Bilbao 2–1 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán and end a four-match winless run in LaLiga.
Athletic made the brighter start and were rewarded midway through the first half when Robert Navarro turned home from close range after Sevilla goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos had initially kept out Urko Izeta’s effort.
The visitors looked comfortable, but Sevilla responded swiftly, levelling the score just two minutes later as Peque swept home a composed finish following good work from Juanlu Sánchez.

Adams, who has been in prolific form since returning from AFCON 2025, took centre stage early in the second half.
The Nigeria international stepped up confidently to convert a penalty after Yuri Berchiche was penalised for handball, calmly sending Unai Simón the wrong way to give Sevilla the lead.
The goal marked Adams third in two league matches since his return from international duty, adding to an impressive AFCON campaign in which he registered two goals and two assists.
