The Nigeria Super Eagles have announced a 25-man squad for the Unity Cup in London, featuring 10 players from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The selected players are Ahmed Musa, Sodiq Ismail, Sikiru Alimi, Junior Harrison Nduka, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Saviour Isaac, Waliu Ojetoye, Papa Daniel Mustapha, Adamu Abubakar, and Vincent Temitope.
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa who now ply his trade with Kano Pillars, is set to lead the team. With his wealth of experience, Musa is expected to play a key role in Nigeria’s campaign.
Papa Daniel from Niger Tornadoes has also made the cut, impressing during Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers in March.

Remo Stars has contributed three players to the squad: Sodiq Ismail, Sikiru Alimi, and Junior Harrison Nduka. Nduka, who captained Remo Stars to success, will also lead the CHAN-bound Super Eagles B. Ismail and Alimi have consistently demonstrated their experience, making them valuable assets to the team.

Enugu Rangers has also had a strong representation with Ifeanyi Onyebuchi and Saviour Isaac making the squad.
Former Vandrezzer FC player Saviour Isaac, born and bred Akwa Ibom player will add depth to the Nigeria midfield, while Onyebuchi’s skills will be crucial in the upcoming tournament.

Other NPFL players called up include Waliu Ojetoye from Ikorodu City and Adamu Abubakar from Plateau United, alongside Vincent Temitope, also from Plateau United.
The Unity Cup will feature Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, with matches taking place at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium from May 27 to 31.

Nigeria’s highly anticipated match against arch-rivals Ghana, dubbed the “Jollof Derby,” is scheduled for May 28. The winners of both semi-final matches will advance to the final, while the losing teams will contest a third-place playoff.
