APR FC to face Super Eagles B-team in super friendly match in preparation for CHAN 2024.

APR FC, the Rwandan football club, is set to play a friendly match against the Nigerian Super Eagles on July 29 at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. This match is part of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from August 2-30.

The Nigerian team will play their Group D matches in Zanzibar, where they will face off against Senegal, Congo, and Sudan. This friendly match against APR FC will serve as a crucial warm-up for the Super Eagles as they gear up for the tournament. The Super Eagles are expected to put up a strong showing at the tournament which they are looking forward to win.

APR FC, under the guidance of new coach Taleb Abderrahim, has been actively engaging in pre-season friendlies to prepare for the new season. They recently beat Gasogi United 4-1 in a friendly match at Shyorongi training base. The match against Nigeria will provide valuable experience for the team as they prepare to play in the CAF Champions League.

The match between the two sides will serve as a test run and to put the teams in shape ahead of the Chan tournament for Nigeria and the new season for APR fc of Rwanda.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have officially kicked off their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign under new head coach Eric Chelle.

APR FC has lined up other international friendly fixtures against Tanzanian teams Simba SC and Azam FC, which may take place in mid-August. The club is also considering a match against Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa. These friendlies will help APR FC fine-tune their skills and build team cohesion ahead of the new season.

APR FC is currently in top form, having won several matches in the Rwanda Premier League. They are ranked first in the league standings, having played 30 matches and won 20, drawn 7, and lost 3. With a strong squad and effective coaching, APR FC is poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
