Argentina U20 team have reached their first FIFA U20 World Cup final in 18 years after a 1-0 victory over Colombia in Santiago.
Substitute Mateo Silvetti scored the decisive goal in the 71st minute, finishing off a fine solo run from Gianluca Prestianni, who impressed throughout the match.
Colombia started strongly, applying early pressure, but Argentina gradually settled into rhythm as the first half ended goalless.

In the second half, coach Diego Placente’s tactical changes paid off, with Silvetti’s goal proving enough to separate both sides. Colombia’s hopes faded when Jhon Rentería was sent off for a second yellow card late on.

Argentina held firm to record their sixth straight win of the tournament and now face Morocco in Saturday’s final as they bid for a record-extending seventh U20 world title.
