Barau FC have earned promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the first time in their history, while Wikki Tourists sealed a return to the topflight after an impressive showing in the Northern Conference of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8.
Wikki Tourists delivered a dominant performance to confirm their NPFL return, defeating Yobe Desert Stars 4–0 on Thursday morning.
Wonderson stole the show, scoring a stunning first-half hat-trick in the 6th, 15th, and 23rd minutes, before turning provider with a stylish assist for Habila’s 37th-minute goal.

It was a complete attacking display from the Bauchi-based side, who finished top of the Northern Conference with 5 points, sealing their promotion under the guidance of coach Abdul Maikaba.

They now await the Southern Conference winners in the NNL Championship Playoff Final to determine the overall 2024/2025 NNL champions.
