Former Swindon town boss Paolo Di Canio has criticised Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman for “behaving badly” as his dispute with Atalanta over a move to Inter Milan intensifies.
The former West Ham and Napoli striker says Lookman is wrong to skip training in a bid to force through the transfer, warning it could damage his reputation.
Lookman, who scored 20 goals and made seven assists in 40 matches last season, has handed in a transfer request and is training alone.

Inter have seen two bids worth around €45m rejected, with Atalanta holding out for €50m and reluctant to sell to a Serie A rival.
“In the Premier League they don’t even really know who Lookman is,” Di Canio told Corriere della Sera.

“Asking €50m is over the top, but Atalanta are doing their job. The player, on the other hand, is behaving badly.

Atalanta’s stance has frustrated Lookman, who believes his performances in Italy over three seasons merit a move. With less than three weeks left in the transfer window, the standoff remains unresolved.
