Breaking: Napoli officially reject Galatasaray’s bids for Victor Osimhen

Antonio Conte

Italian club Napoli have firmly rejected offers from Turkish powerhouses Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, as the Nigerian forward continues to dominate headlines in Europe’s summer transfer window.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, played a pivotal role in the club’s triumphant campaign, helping them secure both the Turkish Cup and the Süper Lig title.

His explosive performances have only heightened interest in his signature, with Napoli now holding out for a significantly improved fee despite Galatasaray’s reported €60 million bid for a permanent transfer.

According to Turkish outlet HalkTV, Napoli’s management remains unwavering in their valuation of the former Lille star, prompting Galatasaray to reconsider their approach. Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe also saw their proposal turned down after attempting to negotiate a structured payment plan spread across four installments.

Turkish sports journalist Barış Yurduseven of TRT Spor revealed that Napoli has adopted a “no bargaining” stance, making it clear that only a substantial upfront offer will be considered. “Apart from the Turkish clubs, the only sides currently in discussions are a few Saudi Arabian teams and Manchester United,” Yurduseven stated. “However, even these clubs are cautious about meeting Napoli’s financial demands.”

Osimhen’s future remains one of the most intriguing storylines of the transfer window, with his goal-scoring prowess, physicality, and marketability making him a prized asset.

While Saudi Pro League clubs have the financial muscle to meet Napoli’s asking price, the 24-year-old may prefer a move to a top European league, with Manchester United being a potential destination—though the Premier League side appears hesitant to meet the steep valuation.
