Former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye has backed Nigeria coach Eric Chelle following the Super Eagles B’s 4-0 defeat to Sudan at the African Nations Championship( CHAN) in Zanzibar.

The loss, which followed a 1-0 opening-day defeat to Senegal, ended Nigeria’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages. Chelle has since faced heavy criticism over his team selection and tactics.

But 2013 AFCON winner Ideye but says the blame is misplaced.
