Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has shed light on his future after his exit from South African outfit Marumo Gallants.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United shot-stopper endured a difficult 2024/25 season, making just seven appearances for Gallants due to injuries and limited game time.

He was one of over ten players released at the end of the campaign.

“There’s interest from the lower division. So, we’re trying to see what the chances are. I’m open to working with a team that is ready to fight for promotion.”
