Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade visited the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) in Lagos to give thanks following the Super Falcons’ title-winning campaign at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ajibade, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, attended the church’s “Power Must Change Hands” service, where she shared her winner’s medal and awards with the congregation.

During the visit, she met with the General Overseer of the church, Dr Daniel Olukoya, and his wife.

The church had previously supported her with prayers throughout her football journey.
Ajibade reflected on a difficult club campaign marred by injuries earlier in the year but credited her faith and support from the church as key to her recovery and success.

She played a central role in Nigeria’s dramatic 3–2 comeback win over hosts Morocco in the final, leading the team as captain and earning widespread plaudits for her performances throughout the tournament.
The MFM Church acknowledged her success with public celebration and prayers for continued strength and guidance.
