Nigeria’s Falconets kept their dream of reaching the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup alive after brushing aside Rwanda 4-0 in Ibadan.
The result, played out at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Saturday, sealed a 5-0 aggregate victory for Chris Musa Danjuma’s side following their narrow first-leg win in Kigali.
The Falconets made a bright start, with Precious Oscar opening the scoring in the 13th minute after good work from Janet Akekoromowei down the left.
Just three minutes later, Fatimah Adeshina doubled the advantage in style, curling a free kick past the Rwandan goalkeeper to delight the home crowd.

After the interval, Akekoromowei – a constant threat – was rewarded for her persistence with a long-range strike that the goalkeeper failed to keep out on the hour mark.
