Federation Cup 2025: Ezeaku hails Rangers grit as cup run offers hope in mixed season

Rangers International General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Amobi Ezeaku, has lauded his side’s resilience after a narrow 1-0 triumph over Plateau United booked them a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 President Federation Cup.

The Enugu-based outfit edged the closely contested quarter-final clash, held at the Area 3 pitch in Abuja, thanks to a well-taken 30th-minute strike from Chiedozie Okorie- his second cup goal of the season.

Despite enduring a turbulent campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), where they currently sit seventh with 49 points – a sharp contrast to their title-winning form last season – Rangers have found renewed purpose in the Federation Cup.
