Nigeria and DR Congo have been sanctioned by FIFA after disciplinary incidents during their 2026 World Cup qualifying match on 16 November 2025.

Nigeria was fined 1,000 Swiss Francs for “a breach relating to order and security at matches, specifically involving the throwing of objects by spectators,” under Article 17.2.b of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
