England legend Gary Lineker says Celtic striker Kelechi Iheanacho has all the tools to become a prolific goalscorer in Scotland.
The Nigerian forward joined the Scottish champions earlier this month following his departure from Sevilla and has quickly made an impact, scoring twice and providing an assist in his first three games for the club.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, former England captain Lineker praised the 28-year-old’s qualities in front of goal.

“I’ve seen the highlights – one of our favourites from Leicester, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored. I think he will score a lot of goals for Celtic,” Lineker said.
“He’s a very, very good finisher. In the Scottish league he will bag a lot of goals.”
Iheanacho previously played under Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, where he won the FA Cup and Community Shield and scored 61 goals in 232 appearances.

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards, who was once Iheanacho’s team-mate at the Etihad Stadium, also believes the striker is well placed to revive his career.
“He’s a natural goalscorer,” Richards said. “When he’s confident, he’s streaky. I always thought he had the ability to play for a top-five club. Now at Celtic, it looks like he has his confidence back this is the platform he needs.”

Iheanacho opened his European account for Celtic with a goal against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League group stage, further enhancing his reputation among the Parkhead support.
Rodgers has backed the Nigerian to keep delivering as Celtic prepare to host Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.
