‘God is the greatest’: Osimhen shares emotional message as Galatasaray close in on title

Victor Osimhen has paid a heartfelt tribute to Galatasaray supporters after the club took a major step toward clinching the Turkish Super Lig title with a 2–0 victory over Trabzonspor.

The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at the Istanbul club, praised the fans for their unwavering support in a social media post following the crucial win, which leaves Galatasaray needing just two points from their final three matches to seal the championship.

“Another big step taken! Super proud of this team!!!!” Osimhen wrote on Instagram. “To the Galatasaray fans, your energy fuels us. We feel your passion in every pass, every tackle, every goal. We’re almost there — the league title is within touching distance. Time to start warming up those dancing shoes”

Goals from Abdulkerim Bardakcı and Álvaro Morata secured the win for the league leaders, just 24 hours after closest rivals Fenerbahçe had briefly narrowed the gap with a 4–1 win over İstanbul Başakşehir. Galatasaray’s response kept their eight-point lead intact and maintained their firm grip on the title race.

Though Osimhen did not score on the night, the 26-year-old led the line with his trademark energy and presence, playing a key role in the team’s forward play. With the Turkish Cup final also approaching, the striker called for focus as the club chases a domestic double.

“It’s not over yet,” he added. “All focus now turns to Wednesday. Let’s finish this season the Galatasaray way: with pride, passion, and silverware. God is the Greatest.”

Osimhen has netted 32 goals this campaign, surpassing his previous best of 31, achieved during his time at Napoli in the 2022/23 season. His outstanding form continues to impress, with 22 of those goals coming in the league, where he currently tops the Super League’s scoring chart with four matches remaining.

His attacking influence extends beyond just finding the net, having also provided seven assists – bringing his total goal contributions this season to an impressive 40.
