Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is reportedly not in favor of signing Liverpool’s Luis Diaz and would rather see the club pursue CAF best player Ademola Lookman or Nico Williams.
Lookman has been in outstanding form for Atalanta, playing a crucial role in their historic Europa league title win last season.
The 27-year-old winger has racked up 50 goals and 22 assists in 111 appearances, making him one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe.

Last summer, it seemed almost certain that Lookman would depart Atalanta for a top European club, with PSG emerging as a strong contender. However, the transfer ultimately fell through.
It now appears that this will be Lookman’s final season with Atalanta, with both Barcelona and Liverpool being touted as potential destinations for the talented forward.

While Barcelona has been linked with Diaz as a priority signing, sources from Barca Universal claim Flick prefers Lookman or Nottingham Forest’s Williams due to their playing styles and adaptability to his tactical setup.
However, a move for Lookman could be complicated by Barcelona’s financial struggles. Atalanta reportedly values him at €60-€70 million, and while Barcelona hopes to negotiate a structured payment plan, the Italian club may not be willing to accept those terms.
