Kelechi Iheanacho continued his fine run of form for Middlesbrough on Friday night, delivering a standout performance in their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
The Super Eagles forward, currently on loan from Sevilla, was handed another start by Michael Carrick after netting in Boro’s 2-1 victory over Oxford United last weekend—and he once again made the most of the opportunity.
Just two minutes into the match, Iheanacho played a sharp pass into Tommy Conway, who fired home the opener.
Six minutes later, he turned provider again, this time teeing up Samuel Iling Junior, who blasted a stunning finish into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.

Iheanacho nearly got on the scoresheet himself in the 15th minute after finding space in the box, but his shot sailed wide. He had another chance before halftime, thanks to a well-weighted through ball from Mark Travers, but couldn’t convert.
