“I’m out of Galatasaray if Osimhen goes” – ex-Real Madrid star declares stance

Charles Watts has dismissed speculation linking Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen with a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad this summer.

Former Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has made a bold decision, stating that he won’t remain at Galatasaray if the club shows Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen the door.

Morata, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from AC Milan, is expected to stay with the Turkish champions until January 20, 2026.

The Spanish forward has become a fan of the Nigerian striker since his arrival in February, with both of them spotted doing the “cim bom bom” ritual together.

He was brought in to fill the void left by Mauro Icardi, who suffered a season-ending injury earlier in the campaign.

During an interview session with Sports Digitale, Morata was asked about his thoughts on Osimhen and admitted that he was quite impressed with the 26-year-old Super Eagles star.

“Osimhen is a great person and one of the best centre-forwards in the world,” Morata said. “I hope we will all celebrate the championship together. This is an incredible country; my family is very happy here, and I want it to continue like this.”

According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Morata reportedly told the club’s hierarchy, “If you don’t keep Osimhen, I’ll leave Galatasaray.”

Since Osimhen’s loan ends at the end of the season, Morata’s stance suggests he is only willing to stay at Galatasaray if Osimhen remains with the club. Otherwise, he is prepared to leave when his loan expires in January 2026.

Since arriving in Istanbul, the former Real Madrid man has scored four goals in eight Süper Lig appearances, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the squad.

With Osimhen still at the club and no immediate replacement lined up, Morata’s future remains uncertain as the January 2026 loan expiry date approaches.
