Terem Moffi says he is determined to justify Porto’s trust as he prepares for a possible debut in this weekend’s heavyweight clash with Sporting CP.
The Nigeria international joined the Portuguese champions earlier this week on a short-term loan from French side OGC Nice, with the deal including an option for a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
Moffi, 26, has already trained with his new teammates and could feature in Sunday’s Primeira Liga meeting with Sporting at the Estádio do Dragão, although he is not expected to start due to limited recent match action.

The striker’s move to Porto follows a difficult spell in France, where his relationship with Nice deteriorated, prompting a search for a fresh environment.
Speaking via Instagram, Moffi said he was motivated by the confidence shown in him by the club and supporters.
“A new chapter. Happy to be here,” he wrote.
“Grateful for the trust placed in me by this great club and the fans. I can’t wait to repay it.”

Porto sources suggest Moffi could be introduced from the bench if deemed ready, as the club carefully manages his return to competitive football.

The Dragons have the option to make the transfer permanent for a reported €8m if the striker impresses during his loan spell.
