Ex-Rivers United defender Kazie Enyinnaya has told Athletic NG he is “very thrilled” after scoring his first goal for Stellenbosch in the 2-0 MTN8 1st leg semi-final win over Sekhukhune United at the Danie Craven Stadium, Cape Town South Africa.

The 26-year-old Nigerian right-back opened his Stellies account with a thumping header from a corner in the 23rd minute his first goal for the club since joining in 2024.

“I’m very thrilled today, getting my first goal in the maroon shirt. This is a day I have been praying for. Thank God my hard work paid off,” Enyinnaya told Athletic NG after the match.

Lesiba Nku then produced a superb outside-of-the-boot pass for Devin Titus to add a second in the 34th minute, before rattling the crossbar in the second half.

“Last season was a good one, but this new season, I want to do better than I did. I want to go to greater heights,” he said in an exclusive June interview with Athletic NG.
