Rangers International and Bendel Insurance shared the spoils in a rain-drenched 0-0 stalemate on Matchday 32 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
Rangers’ talisman, Saviour Isaac, nearly broke the deadlock with a curling free-kick in the 29th minute, which missed the target by inches. Injury forced a change just before halftime, with Onyebuchi making way for Patrick Egeonu in the 41st minute.
Shortly after the restart, the heavens opened, and heavy rainfall made conditions tricky for both sides. Despite the wet pitch, Rangers created key opportunities. In the 50th minute, Obaje teed up Uwumiro with a clever through-ball, but his shot went wide.
Twenty-five minutes later, the pair combined again this time Uwumiro whipped in a teasing cross, but Obaje’s powerful header narrowly missed the target.

Agu opened the scoring in the 39th minute, putting the Naze Millionaires ahead just before halftime. He doubled the lead with a brilliantly taken free-kick early in the second half, beating Pillars goalkeeper Abuchi Okeke.
The result lifts Emmanuel Amuneke’s side out of the relegation zone—up to 16th with 38 points from 32 matches. Kano Pillars, on the other hand, remain in 8th place with 44 points and will be disappointed by their lackluster performance away from home.
