The Jordan Football Association (JFA) has shifted the four-nation invitational tournament involving Super Eagles of Nigeria, Iran, and Costa Rica from Amman to Antalya, Turkey, due to regional safety concerns, the federation confirmed.
The tournament, originally scheduled for March 2026 in Jordan’s capital, will now take place in Antalya “due to the current situation in the region and the limited movement of people,” a JFA statement explained.
The competition features Jordan, Iran, Nigeria, and Costa Rica. According to the schedule, Jordan will open against Costa Rica on Friday, March 27, while the Super Eagles face Iran the same day. Four days later, Jordan will meet Nigeria, and Iran will play Costa Rica in its second match.

The event coincides with the Inter-Continental World Cup playoffs. Nigeria has filed a petition with FIFA regarding DR Congo’s alleged fielding of ineligible players. A favourable ruling could see the Super Eagles withdraw from the tournament.

Iran are in Group G with Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand, while Jordan will compete in Group J alongside Algeria, Argentina, and Austria.
