Kano Pillars Football Club has officially declared a four-week break for its players and technical officials after wrapping up the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The announcement was made by the club’s chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, in a formal statement released on Thursday.
In his address, Alhaji Umar extended heartfelt appreciation to the players, coaching staff, supporters, and all stakeholders who played pivotal roles in the team’s campaign throughout the season. He emphasized that their collective efforts, dedication, and sacrifices were instrumental in achieving the club’s objectives.
“On behalf of the board, I wish to sincerely thank our players, technical crew, supporters, media team, and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful conclusion of the 2024-25 season,” Umar stated. “Your commitment, hard work, and unwavering support have been the foundation of our progress. We deeply value your contributions and look forward to even greater achievements in the future.”

While the team enjoys its well-deserved break, the club’s management has already begun preparations for the upcoming season. Plans are underway to assess player performances, reinforce the squad, and implement strategic improvements to ensure a stronger campaign next term.
Umar also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the club’s passionate fanbase, whose relentless support has been a constant source of motivation. “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our loyal supporters across Nigeria and beyond. Your faith in the team and your electrifying presence at matches continue to drive us toward excellence,” he added.
Kano Pillars finished the season in ninth place on the NPFL table, accumulating 53 points from 38 matches. The break provides an opportunity for the squad to recharge before regrouping for preseason activities ahead of the next football calendar.
