Nigerian goalkeeper Kingdom Osayi has completed a move to Swedish club Assyriska Södertälje, departing NPFL champions Rangers International.
The former Doma United shot-stopper made three appearances for the Flying Antelopes before sealing his switch to Europe—but his journey to Sweden has been paved with standout moments.
In 2023, while playing for Doma United, Osayi made history by becoming the first-ever goalkeeper in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to record two assists and a clean sheet in a single match.
He achieved this rare feat in a 3–0 away win over Gombe United during their first-ever Savannah Derby at the Pantami Stadium, underlining his remarkable vision and distribution.

Reflecting on his journey, the 23-year-old took to Facebook to share a heartfelt Bible verse and gratitude to God:
“Jeremiah 29:14 (MSG): ‘I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.’ God’s Decree. ‘I’ll turn things around for you… You can count on it.’ Thank you Jesus, your words can never fall to the ground! It accomplishes what He says.”

“Dear Enugu Rangers International Family, as I say goodbye, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who made my time here unforgettable. From the management to the coaching staff, teammates, and fans, your support has meant so much to me.”
“I am honoured to have worn the Rangers jersey and contributed to the team’s success. The memories and experiences I gained will stay with me forever. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the chance to be part of this great club.”
Now, Osayi embarks on a new chapter in his career as he takes on the challenge of European football with Assyriska Södertälje.
