The Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 has come to a thrilling conclusion, with Kun Khalifat FC and Warri Wolves claiming the final two promotion tickets to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the 2025/2026 season.
They join Wikki Tourists and Barau FC, who had earlier sealed their topflight return from the Northern Conference.
In one of the biggest fairytale stories of the tournament, Kun Khalifat FC dubbed The Pride of Imo secured NPFL promotion at their very first attempt, defeating Osun United 2–1 in their final Southern Conference match.

The club, based in Imo State, impressed throughout the tournament with their fearless, attacking football and now prepare to debut in Nigeria’s topflight next season.

Warri Wolves, once a household name in the NPFL, have completed their journey back to the elite division with a hard-fought 2–1 win over Crown FC.

The Warri-based “Seasiders” last played in the topflight in 2021 but will now feature in the 2025/26 season, giving Delta State a fresh representation among Nigeria’s elite clubs.
NNL Super 8: Final Promoted Teams to NPFL 2025/26
Wikki Tourists FC (Bauchi) – NPFL return after 2022/2023 season.
Barau FC (Kano) – First-ever NPFL promotion.
Kun Khalifat FC (Imo) – NPFL debut.
Warri Wolves FC (Delta) – NPFL return after relegation in 2020/2021 season.
All eyes now turn to the NNL Championship Final, where Wikki Tourists will face Kun Khalifat FC on the 12 of July 2025, to decide the overall 2024/25 NNL champion.
