Former Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is considering a move to Cyprus as he nears the final stages of his career, with Aris Limassol emerging as a potential destination.
The 36-year-old centre-back left Rangers this summer following the end of his second spell at Ibrox. Now a free agent, Balogun is weighing up an offer that would see him reunite with former defensive partner Connor Goldson, who joined Aris last year.
Balogun made 114 appearances for Rangers across four seasons, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He played a pivotal role in the club’s recent cup successes, starting in both the 2022 Scottish Cup final against Hearts and the League Cup win over Aberdeen in 2023.

The move would allow Balogun to bring his experience to a club with growing ambition—and link up once more with Goldson, with whom he shared a strong understanding in Glasgow.
According to The Scottish Sun, discussions between Balogun and Aris are at an advanced stage, with the Nigerian veteran expected to make a decision soon.
