Liverpool ready to make blockbuster offer for Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen is in talks with Al-Hilal over a €70m move from Napoli, as the Saudi club eyes the striker before the Club World Cup.

Liverpool is reportedly set to make a stunning £15 million-per-year salary proposal to lure Victor Osimhen to Anfield. The Nigerian striker has been weighing up his next move following a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray, and Liverpool is believed to be at the front of the queue.

Osimhen is understood to be prioritizing a switch to the Premier League this summer, having already turned down lucrative approaches from Saudi side Al-Hilal. Liverpool’s interest in the striker has been well-documented, and manager Arne Slot is keen on bolstering his attacking options ahead of the new season

Galatasaray had offered Osimhen a reported €18 million annual salary, but the striker reportedly rejected the Turkish champions’ contract offer. Napoli, Osimhen’s current club, is demanding upwards of €80 million for a permanent transfer, following the expiration of the €75 million release clause on July 1.

Juventus have also shown interest in Osimhen, but a return to Serie A is said to be low on the striker’s priority list. Chelsea and Manchester United remain admirers, but neither club has made a formal bid so far. Liverpool appears to be actively monitoring Osimhen’s situation and is prepared to accelerate talks should Napoli soften their valuation.

Osimhen is a clinical finisher with a powerful presence in the final third. He is athletic, tall (1.86m), and has a high shot accuracy (41.6%). His ability to stretch defenses, win aerial duels, and maintain a high shot rate (5.2 shots per 90 minutes) makes him an ideal fit for Liverpool’s high-octane attacking style.

Osimhen’s arrival would add significant firepower to Liverpool’s attack and could spell the end of Darwin Nunez’s inconsistent reign as the club’s leading striker. With only a year left on his Napoli contract, Liverpool could look to strike a deal before the competition heats up.
