Former Manchester United forward Louis Saha has urged his old club to make a move for Victor Osimhen, calling the Galatasaray striker a “perfect fit” to lead the line at Old Trafford.
United have endured a disappointing season under Ruben Amorim, sitting 14th in the Premier League and crashing out of both domestic cups. With strikers Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling for goals, calls are growing for a proven, world-class finisher and Saha believes Osimhen is the answer.
“I really like Victor Osimhen,” Saha told Mega Dice. “He’s got the character and the quality. He’s proven himself in France, was a champion in Italy with Napoli, and he’s been brilliant in Turkey—even though it probably wasn’t the move he wanted.”
Osimhen has been in stellar form for Galatasaray this season, with 30 goals and 7 assists in 35 games across all competitions.
His consistency, physical presence, and ability to handle pressure are traits Saha believes would make him a game-changer at United.

“He’s scored at every level and has Champions League experience. Most importantly, he brings personality and charisma—something this United squad desperately needs,” said the former France international.

Saha also highlighted Osimhen’s title-winning season with Napoli as evidence of his ability to deliver under pressure.
“If you can carry a team to their first league title in 33 years, you’ve got what it takes to play for Manchester United,” he added. “He’d be a transformational signing.”

Saha joins fellow United legends Rio Ferdinand and Andy Cole in backing a move for Osimhen. With competition heating up for the Nigerian striker’s signature, United may have to act quickly to land their next potential superstar.
