Super Eagles wing wizard, Moses Simon, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Marc-Vivien Foé Award, which honors the best African player in France’s Ligue 1.
Simon, who has been a key figure for FC Nantes since joining from Spanish side UD Levante, has continued to shine despite his club’s inconsistent season.
Simin, 29, has scored 7 goals with 8 assist in 28 Ligue 1 games in the 2024/2025 season.

His performances have earned him a place among 12 nominees for the award, named after the late Cameroonian footballer Marc-Vivien Foé.

The full list of nominees includes Lamine Camara, Habib Diarra, Moussa Niakhaté, Evann Guessand, Hamed Junior Traoré, Yahia Fofana, Achraf Hakimi, Eliesse Ben Seghir, Amine Gouiri, Himad Abdelli, Moses Simon, and Abdoulaye Touré.

The winner will be determined by a panel of journalists, with the award recognizing the most outstanding African talent in France’s top division.
