Moses Simon open to summer exit from Nantes amid Transfer Interest

Moses Simon is open to leaving FC Nantes this summer amid interest from Everton, Marseille following a strong 2024/25 Ligue 1 season.

Nigeria international Moses Simon has hinted he could be open to a move away from FC Nantes this summer, following an impressive season in Ligue 1.

The 29-year-old winger, who joined the French outfit in 2019, registered eight goals and 10 assists in 32 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign a return that has reportedly caught the attention of clubs including Everton, Olympique Marseille, and Paris FC.

Simon remains under contract at Nantes, but admits he is open to a new chapter should the club approve a transfer.

“I have a lot of love and respect for the club, but like any player, I’m always open to new challenges in life,” Simon told SportsBoom.

“If I receive an offer and Nantes agree to it, I will definitely consider making a move. However, if the club decides not to accept any offers, I will fully respect my contract because I am still their player.”

The AFCON 2023 finalist also captained the Super Eagles recently, scoring in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Jamaica to secure the 2025 Unity Cup at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.

In a message to fans following the conclusion of the season, Simon expressed gratitude and reflected on his time at the club.

“This season is ending, and it will remain etched in my heart,” he said. “This last one had a special flavor for me, since I had the chance to reach 201 matches in the colours of this legendary club that I love so much. All this is thanks to God.”

Simon has made over 200 appearances for Nantes, becoming a fan favourite and key figure at the Stade de la Beaujoire since arriving from Spanish side Levante — initially on loan before signing permanently.
