Super Eagles wing wizard, Moses Simon found the net for the seventh time in the French Ligue 1, but his efforts were not enough as Nantes suffered a crushing 3-2 loss to Le Havre at Stade Océane.
Fresh from international duty with the Super Eagles, Simon returned to club action determined to make an impact.
The 29-year-old winger, who has been pivotal in Nantes’ fight to avoid relegation, delivered once again by scoring a crucial equalizer early in the second half.

The game started poorly for Nantes when Abdoulaye Touré converted a penalty in the 13th minute. However, Saidou Sow responded in the 23rd minute with a powerful header to level the score.
Le Havre regained the lead before halftime, with Touré scoring his second penalty of the night.

Simon brought Nantes back into the game in the 47th minute, finishing a brilliant pass from Matthis Abline. After a tense VAR review, the goal stood, giving Nantes hope for at least a point.
However, disaster struck in the 89th minute when Timothée Pembélé capitalized on a fortunate rebound to snatch all three points for Le Havre, leaving Nantes stunned.

Despite the loss, Simon remains a key figure for Nantes, with 15 goal contributions (seven goals, eight assists) in 25 appearances this season. Nantes, currently 13th in the league, remain just three points above the relegation zone.
