Wilfred Ndidi is set to join Turkish giants Besiktas after agreeing personal terms and undergoing a medical on Thursday.
The Super Eagles midfielder will sign a three-year contract, with Besiktas paying Leicester City a fee in the region of €9.5 million.
Ndidi, 27, ends his eight-year stay at the King Power Stadium, where he made 303 appearances and became one of the Premier League’s most consistent defensive midfielders.

The Turkish club moved swiftly to finalise the deal after Leicester accepted their bid, brushing off late interest from Valencia.
The Spanish side’s offer was ultimately rejected, with Leicester opting to honour their agreement with Besiktas.
Speaking after putting on the Besiktas shirt for the first time, Ndidi said:
“It’s really amazing. This is my second time in Turkey and I feel really great. Joining Besiktas is really amazing for me.”

“It feels really great, very warm, welcoming. You can see before I put it on, I kiss the badge, which is very important. It shows love.”
He added a message for the fans:
“I want them to enjoy this season. We’ll try our best to support the team and win more games, because more games give trophies.”

He joins a growing list of Nigerian internationals in Turkey, including Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray, Paul Onuachu at Trabzonspor, and Henry Onyekuru at Gençlerbirliği.
Besiktas see Ndidi as central to their bid to reclaim the Super Lig title, last won in 2021.
