Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has apologized to Nigerian fans after missing a crucial chance in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification hopes took another hit as they failed to secure a much-needed victory at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, a combination of poor finishing and brilliant goalkeeping from Zimbabwe’s Washington Arubi left Nigeria frustrated.
Ndidi, who had an otherwise strong game, found himself in a perfect scoring position late in the match but blasted his shot over the bar instead of securing the win.
