Ndidi set for Besiktas medical after Leicester city green light on ₦15.5bn transfer

Borussia Dortmund have opened talks to sign Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City, with the Foxes demanding €15m

Wilfred Ndidi is set to undergo a medical in Istanbul after agreeing to join Turkish giants Besiktas, following Leicester City’s acceptance of a €9.5 million ( ₦15.5 billion) transfer offer.

The 28-year-old midfielder has given the go-ahead for the move and agreed personal terms on a three-year deal, with an option for a fourth year.

Besiktas are reportedly making arrangements to fly the player to Turkey via private jet ahead of the medical examination.

He featured 30 times for the Foxes last season, with one goal and five assists.

Ndidi’s switch makes him the latest Nigerian to join the Turkish Super Lig this summer, after Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray, Paul Onuachu’s return to Trabzonspor, and Henry Onyekuru’s move to Gençlerbirliği.
