Four teams from the Northern Conference have secured their spots in the Nigeria National League (NNL) for the upcoming season after qualifying from the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) playoffs.
The teams are Mai Kunkele United (Niger State), Kano Ambassadors (Kano State), Warinje FC (Bauchi State), and City FC (FCT).
The competition was intense at the 2025 NLO Playoff, held at three different centers: Bwari, Jos, and Gumel.

At the Bwari Centre, Mai Kunkele United narrowly edged out House of Prayer FA by a two-goal difference, with both teams finishing on seven points after three matches. Warinje FC from Bauchi State stood out at the Jos Centre, winning two matches and drawing one.
Kano Ambassadors dominated their group at the Gumel Centre, achieving a perfect record with three wins and nine points.
City FC of Abuja outperformed other teams at the ABS Centre in Kaduna, securing the sole ticket from their group. The teams’ performance was impressive, showcasing their skills and determination. The NLO playoffs provided a platform for teams to showcase their talents and compete for a spot in the NNL.
