Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie continued her impressive run in England as Brighton & Hove Albion claimed a 1-0 win over Everton in the Women’s Super League on Friday.

The Nigeria international recorded her second successive clean sheet, following last weekend’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest, as Brighton secured their fifth league win of the campaign.

Brighton took the lead four minutes before half-time when Serbia forward Jelena Cankovic scored for a second consecutive match, giving the visitors a deserved advantage at the interval.

Everton, who also started Nigeria forward Toni Payne, controlled possession for long periods after the break and pushed for an equaliser.

However, Nnadozie produced a composed display behind a disciplined defence to preserve the lead and end Brighton’s two-match league losing run.
