It was a thrilling end to the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) regular season as Conference B delivered a final matchday full of passion, goals, and drama, with no draws, only winners and losers in a pulsating conclusion to the campaign.
The last round of matches saw three solid home wins and two brave away victories, capping off a season where every point mattered — and for some, every goal.
Osun United booked their place in the NNL Super 8 in emphatic fashion, defeating First Bank FC 3–1 in Ile-Ogbo to finish second on 36 points. League leaders Kun Khalifat, despite falling 1–0 away to ABS FC, held on to top spot with 37 points after a consistent campaign.
Solution FC stunned Rovers FC 3–1 in Calabar to leapfrog them into fifth, while Abakaliki FC — finalists in the 2025 President Federation Cup — signed off with a remarkable 4–1 away win against Madiba FC in Lagos. Unfortunately, both clubs were relegated to the Nationwide League One (NLO) after finishing in the bottom four.
It was a harsh reality for Abakaliki FC, who were enjoying their maiden NNL season after purchasing the slot of Coal City FC, but ultimately couldn’t survive the drop.

Meanwhile, Godswill Akpabio FC, in their debut season since being formed in 2024, sealed their safety in style with a dominant 3–0 victory over Gateway United in Uyo. That result saw Gateway United relegated to the third tier, marking a dramatic fall for the once-ambitious side.
