The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has taken a major commercial step forward with the signing of a five-year data management and commercialization deal worth ₦2 billion.
The agreement with Inview Technologies Nigeria Limited and AS Production Hub Limited includes a mandatory ₦800 million upfront activation fee, one of the league’s biggest financial commitments to date.
Under the deal, NPFL matches will now air on free-to-air television and digital platforms, significantly increasing accessibility and fan engagement across Nigeria.
NPFL Chairman, Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, said the league is embracing a new era of commercial growth and digital expansion.
“We want every Nigerian home in villages, towns, and major cities to easily watch the NPFL,” he said. “Our focus now is to create consistent, quality content that will be available on as many platforms as possible.”
Elegbeleye added that the agreement was part of a broader effort to “unbundle” the league, creating room for more broadcasters and commercial partners.
“More partners means more revenue, more coverage, and ultimately more development for our clubs and players,” he said.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, praised the NPFL for staying committed to long-term reform.
“It may not seem as fast as Nigerians expect, but what NPFL is doing is foundational. With patience and consistent support, they will get it right in every dimension,” Gusau said.

The NPFL also unveiled a separate ₦600 million data partnership with Round Up Technology, including an annual ₦140 million technical data service package to manage player statistics, match analytics, and performance parameters.
The new arrangement marks the first time the NPFL will receive structured commercial income from data monetization, a system long established in Europe’s top leagues.
