Atletico Madrid have officially unveiled Ademola Lookman after completing his transfer from Italian side Atalanta.
The Nigeria forward has signed a contract with the Spanish club until 30 June 2030, following an agreement reported to be worth €35m (£30m) plus a further €5m in performance-related add-ons.
Atletico confirmed the signing after Lookman successfully completed his medical in Madrid and was presented at the club’s Riyadh Air Metropolitano, where he signed his contract alongside chief executive Miguel Ángel Gil.
The Spanish club’s proposal was ultimately preferred by Atalanta, bringing to an end Lookman’s three-season spell in Bergamo, during which he emerged as one of Serie A’s most decisive attacking players.

A versatile, right-footed forward, the 28-year-old is comfortable operating as a second striker or across either wing, where his pace, dribbling and direct running allow him to stretch defences or cut inside to create chances.
Born in Wandsworth, London, Lookman began his career at Waterloo FC before progressing through the youth ranks at Charlton Athletic, making his senior debut in November 2015.
He later gained Premier League and Bundesliga experience with Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham and Leicester City before joining Atalanta in 2022.

His time in Italy proved the most prolific of his career. Lookman scored 55 goals and provided 27 assists in 137 appearances, playing a central role in Atalanta’s historic 2023–24 UEFA Europa League triumph.
