Kano Pillars FC have confirmed the appointment of Evans Ogenyi as their new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The experienced tactician assumes the role with immediate effect, returning to a familiar environment after previously guiding Pillars back to the NPFL in 2023.
Ogenyi joins the Kano-based side following the expiration of his contract with Rivers United, where he was the Chief Coach during the 2024/25 season.

A respected figure in Nigerian club football, Ogenyi famously led Lobi Stars to the NPFL title in 2018.

His latest appointment sees him tasked with restoring Kano Pillars’ stature among Nigeria’s elite after a turbulent few seasons.
Details of his contract wasn’t revealed in the press statement by the Club today.
