Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah has reportedly completed a move to Libyan club Al Shomooa after leaving South African giants Orlando Pirates by mutual consent in late January.
The 28-year-old officially parted ways with the Buccaneers on 29 January, despite having several months remaining on his contract, before agreeing a one-and-a-half-year deal with the Libyan side according to African football Journalist Micky Jnr.
Orlando Pirates had earlier confirmed the decision in a statement, describing the separation as amicable and the outcome of discussions between the player and the club’s management.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that the Club has reached a mutual agreement with defender Olisa Ndah to part ways,” the club said at the time.

Explaining the move, Pirates added that the Nigerian international requested an early release in order to secure regular playing time as he enters the next phase of his career.
“The Nigerian international requested an early release from his contract, a decision that follows careful and respectful discussions between the player and the Club’s management,” the statement read.
“Central to these conversations was a shared understanding to afford Ndah the opportunity to secure regular game time elsewhere.”
Pirates stressed that the agreement was reached in a spirit of mutual respect, acknowledging the defender’s open engagement throughout the process.
“The Club respects Ndah’s desire for increased minutes on the field and acknowledges his honest engagement with management throughout the process,” the statement added.
