Trabzonspor produced a strong second-half display to beat Fethiyespor 3-0 and move top of Group A in the Turkish Cup, with Nigerian forwards Paul Onuachu and Anthony Nwakaeme playing key roles.
After a cautious opening hour against the second-tier side, the Süper Lig club took control late in the match, scoring three goals in the final 21 minutes.
Ernest Muçi broke the deadlock in the 69th minute, finishing from close range after being set up by Nwakaeme, whose creativity proved decisive in opening up the Fethiyespor defence.

The goal sparked a dominant spell from the hosts. Eight minutes later, Nwakaeme marked his return to form by scoring himself, cutting inside from the left before firing a powerful left-footed shot into the roof of the net.
Trabzonspor wrapped up the win two minutes after that, with Onuachu tapping in from close range following sustained pressure. The Nigeria striker had been introduced at half-time and made an immediate impact.
Fellow Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu also featured as Trabzonspor comfortably saw out the remainder of the contest.

The victory lifts Trabzonspor to six points from three matches, placing them top of Group A, although reigning champions Galatasaray could reclaim the lead when they face Istanbulspor later this week.

Nwakaeme’s goal was his first of the season following a lengthy injury lay-off, with the winger only returning to action in January.
Onuachu, meanwhile, continued his impressive scoring run. The 30-year-old has now scored 14 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.
